My name is Cheryl Wardle, and I am a Literacy Specialist with over twenty years of teaching experience with students of various ages and learning needs. I am also the owner of Bridge to Learning, which has been in operation since 2017. I have a Bachelor of Elementary Education from Florida Southern College and a Master of Education, with an area of concentration in Reading Intervention from Concordia University.
Over my career, I have taught various grades from Early Childhood to Elementary in both the public school sector and several independent schools in the area such as The Woodlyne School, The Haverford School for Boys, The West Hill School, and Goshen Friends School. I was nominated twice for the Most Distinguished Teacher by the Senior Class, and and have held various leadership positions while working with students including becoming a Global Village Leader for Habitat for Humanity.
I am a first generation American, and I am fluent in German. I am married for ten years to my best friend with our two adorable cats. We enjoy traveling, kayaking, and going to Phillies games. We also serve on the area sponsoring committee for FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools) and volunteer during the summer months.
